York is a city and county in the South Central part of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (Map), a mid-Atlantic state in the United States of America (USA Map). It is located on Interstate I-83 and is about 15 miles south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Exit 18. York is on the Lincoln Highway (Lincoln Highway Heritage Corridor) which is today US Route 30.

York is 30 miles east of Gettysburg, 15 miles west, across the Susquehanna River, from Lancaster County and the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, 30 miles south of Harrisburg (the state capital), 20 miles southwest of the infamous Three Mile Island, 30 miles southwest of Hershey home of Hershey's Chocolate's and Hershey Park and ChocolateWorld,  15 miles north of the Mason-Dixon line, 50 miles north of Baltimore, Maryland and Inner Harbor, 100 miles west of Philadelphia, and 220 miles east of Pittsburgh, 100 miles north of Washington, DC, 767 miles northeast of Atlanta, Georgia,   749 miles northeast of Huntsville, Alabama , and 456 miles southwest of the Adirondack Mountains and beautiful Lake Champlain.

You can fly to York by using either Harrisburg International (30 miles north) or Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) (70 miles south)  airports.
